Service Description

🧠 Neurodivergent-Specific Counselling & Therapy Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Beyond – Upper North Shore, Northern Beaches Sydney + Telehealth Not all minds are wired the same — and not all therapy should be either. If you’re autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, sensory processing differences, or suspect you may be neurodivergent, you may have already discovered that mainstream therapy doesn’t always work for your brain. You’re not broken — the system is just not built with your wiring in mind. At our private practice on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Northern Beaches, and via telehealth across Australia, we provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for women and girls who experience the world differently. A Neurodivergent Therapist Who Gets It Aly Birmingham, our lead therapist, is neurodivergent herself — which means she brings not only years of clinical expertise, but also lived insight into how overwhelm, masking, sensory burnout, emotional flooding, and executive dysfunction truly feel. She understands what it’s like to live in a world that doesn’t always accommodate your needs, and works with you to create strategies that actually fit how your brain works. Who This Service Is For . Autistic women and girls who are misread, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed . Women with ADHD who feel scattered, stuck, or overwhelmed by shame and pressure . Adults navigating late-diagnosis neurodivergence . Those with dyslexia, dysgraphia, or sensory processing challenges . Women who have always felt “too much” or “not enough” in a neurotypical world What Makes This Different You won’t be pushed into cognitive strategies that don’t stick or emotional processes that overload you. Instead, our therapy is: Paced for safety, regulation, and real trust Highly sensory-aware — with options for low-stimulation sessions Flexible and adaptive — no rigid protocols, just what works for you Built to support self-understanding, identity development, and autonomy Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationships, or self-advocacy — this is a space designed for you to feel seen, heard, and supported.
